Blue Christmas    Christmas can be a painful time for some.  It may be the first Christmas without a loved family member who has recently died; it may be a time that has always been difficult.

The constant refrain on the radio and television, in shopping malls and churches, about the happiness of the season, about getting together with family and friends, reminds many people of what they have lost or have never had.  The anguish of broken relationships, the insecurity of unemployment, the weariness of ill health, the pain of isolation - all these can make us feel very alone in the midst of the celebrating and spending.  We need the space and time to acknowledge our sadness and concern; we need to know that we are not alone.

Our spirits sink, as the days grow shorter.  We feel the darkness growing deeper around us.  We need encouragement to live the days ahead of us.

For these reasons, Calvary Tucson offers a special "Blue Christmas" service on December 17, 2010 at 7 PM

Come out and join with us in sharing and hearing prayers, Scripture, and music that acknowledge that God's presence is for those who mourn, for those who struggle - and that God's Word comes to shine light into our darkness.  Everyone is welcome.

Please email pictures of loved ones to calvarygriefgroup@gmail.com.  The service will be followed by a time for prayer and fellowship.

Bridge of Hope    For those struggling with drugs, alcohol, and other addictions. Meetings are on Saturday at East Campus; 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. (contact Ray 520-551-0808)

Calvary Maintenance    It is no small task taking care of 16 acres of land and 114,000 square feet of facilities between Calvary Tucson’s East and West campuses. It takes prayer, communication, careful monitoring, lots of hard work and sacrifice. A small army of faithful part and full-time staff, as well as volunteers, make up our maintenance ministry. Many volunteers are skilled, but most of them are just regular folks who commit to spend time to help out with on-going needs during the week or on Saturday mornings. Basic janitorial and landscaping maintenance make up most of our needs.

Calvary Music & Worship    We put a great emphasis on musical worship in our services here at Calvary Tucson. We believe that music reaches into the heart and soul, and allows people to approach God in an intimate way. It affords us the opportunity to express our longing, our thanks and adoration, and allows us to recieve encouragement, consolation and admonishment.
